As a former WMATA employee who recently resigned, I'm truly not surprised about none of these findings. But Metro's finances are only a small part of the problems there. The Rail Divisions operating and safety practices should be highly questioned. And WMATA need a new cutthroat General Manager who will eliminate waste, cut leadership positions, and do a total management shakeup starting with RTRA/ROCC and the training department. Retaliation against employees who report safety concerns shouldn't be tolerated. I'm no longer a employee and a very proud WMATA whistleblower.
